Finding Perspective at Pele’s Chair & the Shoreline Trail to Alan Davis Beach

Yesterday, I took time to hike along the Makapuʻu shoreline and visit Pele’s Chair before continuing toward Alan Davis Beach.

It’s been a while since I last posted here but my hiking experience inspired to leave notes here and start this blog again for both for my own diary and to share with others ✨

Standing at Pele’s Chair, a place connected through Hawaiian stories with reflection and journey, I felt powerfully grounded.

I found myself pausing — observing the ocean, the cliffs, the changing colors of the water, and noticing how still everything felt despite the movement around me. It reminded me that life can feel uncertain, busy, or transitional, yet there is something steady available when we create space to reconnect with ourselves.

The walk continued along the shoreline toward Alan Davis Beach — another place that felt untouched and peaceful. Looking down at the water and taking in the rugged beauty of Oʻahu’s coastline made me appreciate how healing nature can feel — not because it gives us answers, but because it gives us room to reflect.

My biggest takeaway from this experience:

Sometimes healing / reflection / inspiration isn’t about changing your life overnight. Sometimes it begins with stepping outside, slowing down, and observing what’s already around you.

If you’re feeling stuck, navigating a life transition, or simply needing perspective, this trail may offer a moment to pause, breathe, and reconnect.

I left feeling lighter, grounded, and grateful.
